A majority of the bypass procedures performed (more than 70%) involve using only the internal mammary and/or radial arteries (Total Arterial Revascularization) and more than 70% cases receive no blood transfusion. Dr. Dhareshwar is also an expert in Aortic surgery for which he received specialized training in Houston, Texas under the mentorship of world renowned surgeon Dr.Hazim Safi. He has operated a large number of acute aortic dissections and aortic root replacements (only surgeon in Thane with experience of performing these very high risk operations). Dr. Dhareshwar is also an accomplished surgeon in valve repairs/replacements, reoperative cardiac surgeries (second operations) and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
